The 2021 season is wrapped up. I’m sure the planes are washed and ready for annuals. Unfortunately, this season was not what we were hoping for. The relentless heat and little to no rain wreaked havoc on our fungicide seasons, some were lucky enough to pick up a few acres of insecticide. Hopefully pre-harvest application was decent for all.

Greetings fellow aerial applicators from Saskatchewan! 

For reader's that do not know me, I am the incoming President of the Saskatchewan Aerial Applicators Association. A quick background: I was born into this industry, and I started from the ground up mixing at 15 years old and getting into a seat for 8 years becoming our families 2nd generation Ag pilot!

The first Education Session will be held November 10th and will be presented by Andrea Sawatzky, Pesticide Compliance & Enforcement Officer with Health Canada.
Registration for this session is now open.
This session will be open to all aerial applicators. The member rate will be honored for members of SAAA, MAAA, and ECC.

Presenting one scholarship for 2021 courtesy of CAIR.

The goal of the CAAA Agricultural Aviation Scholarship is to strengthen the aerial application industry by helping CAAA Operators bring new pilots into the profession. Each applicant must be sponsored by a CAAA Operator, and scholarship recipients must use the proceeds for flight training or agricultural coursework at a university, college, community college or other institution of higher learning.
The CAAA presents six annual awards to members who meet the qualifications. A CAAA member must be nominated to receive an award. Awards are presented annually at the CAAA’s annual general meeting.

*Membership must be current as of February 28th of the year prior to the award.
CAAA Membership Renewals
The CAAA is excited to announce upcoming changes to the website. At long last the CAAA will be creating a fulling functioning Member Portal on the website. We can’t wait to reveal all benefits to this system; including being able to update your information throughout the year and not having to input your details every year!

With all the changes, membership renewals will be opening in early January this year.
